You are on holiday, and you want to party! While the TCI is best known as a destination for languid days on the beach and adrenaline-packed adventures in the water, there’s plenty to do at night, too. So whether you’re looking for authentic culinary experiences, somewhere to dress up for, or a chance to let your hair down and party all night, the Big Blue Collective is diving deep into the Turks and Caicos nightlife just for you.
Rest and Recovery, with a Little Added Sparkle
If you’re a night owl that doesn’t even get going until early evening, then you may find the local nightlife a little quiet for your tastes. Part of the drawcard of the Turks and Caicos is that we aren’t as strenuously developed as some other Caribbean destinations, so you won’t’ find the same strips of pulsing night clubs you will in some other areas. If you want to balance your beach recuperation with some exciting nightlife without the overbearing clamour of more populated destinations, however, then Provo is definitely the place to be.
Here you will find plenty of bars and small nightclubs to add sparkle and variety to your evening. Many of these organise event nights and themed parties, too, so you’ll find everything from karaoke to quiz night to enjoy. Plus tons of live music from local bands and musicians. Don’t just focus on the nightclubs, however! There’s also plenty of fun to be had with sunset cruises, beach bonfires, and even some come-as-you-are barbeques to enjoy!
Provo is also home to the bulk of the resorts in the TCI, and there are several adult-only clubs for you to enjoy. Club Med Turkoise is an ever-popular destination. Beaches Turks and Caicos brings you a non-stop party atmosphere, running dance clubs and even live shows well into the wee hours of the morning.
If you’re hoping to drop by to celebrate the end of the year, Provo’s incredible New Year’s Eve fireworks display is a can’t-miss attraction, and there’s the vibrancy of our Boxing Day Maskanoo street parade (and party) to enjoy, too. There’s nothing quite like watching fireworks explode overhead, cocktail in hand, and the sea gently lapping the dazzling white beach sand, to start your New Year off on the right foot. And you’ll find plenty of beach events to meet new friends and make memories at, too.
If you’d rather escape the club and enjoy the beach until you drop, the waterfront is bustling with cool places to chill out and meet the locals in the beauty of the tropical outdoors.
Take a Sunset Cruise
Enjoying the waves from the deck of a yacht is always fun, but there’s something about the added magic of the sunset hour that’s too dazzling to miss out on. It’s the perfect way to add some extra romance to your beach experience. Or experience life ‘at sea’ from a truly unique perspective, and try an evening cruise! Not only do you get to enjoy the magic of a dazzling nighttime cruise experience, but there’s a chance to spot some truly unique marine life you won’t see during the day, too. Bathed in moonlight and wrapped in the quiet of a perfect tropical night, it’s an experience like no other, and a great way to beat the heat if you are temperature-sensitive- so be sure to book at least one! For the truly adventurous, there’s also an unbeatable evening snorkelling experience to enjoy.
Does the TCI have Casinos?
Yes, you will find some casinos on the Turks and Caicos islands! Perhaps the best known is the Ritz-Carlton, with both slot machines and traditional table games. There’s also the Casablanca Casino for a full gambling experience, and you’ll find slot machines in many of the bars and other entertainment stops if you just want a quick flutter.
Can I Visit the Cinema in the TCI?
As a small island nation, the Turks and Caicos doesn’t have a lot of destinations for film goers. However, you will find a variety of streaming services available in most accommodations, and Blue Haven Resort does occasionally offer a twist on the classic drive-in experience with an outdoor movie night. Don’t worry, you won’t miss them- there’s so much to keep you busy, it would be a shame to be cooped up indoors!
How’s the Live Arts and Theatre in the Turks and Caicos?
As we have already mentioned, if you want to experience local music, the waterfront bars and clubs are the place to head. You’ll often find local musicians on the program, and it’s a great chance to support the local arts as well as have a great night out. Some of the local night venues also offer cabaret-style live shows to enjoy.
The Turks and Caicos Islands Friends of the Arts Foundation also puts on a number of musicals and plays throughout the year. Based out of the custom-built Brayton Hall venue, it’s well worth checking out.
While the Turks and Caicos nightlife isn’t as roaring as it is on some other Caribbean islands, there’s plenty to enjoy for all tastes on the islands. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing night in at your private villa rental, or want to head to the beach for local colour and delicious food, the Big Blue Collective will help you shape the perfect holiday experience- no hassle, no fuss! Just let our helpful team know what you’re looking for, and we’ll help you make magical memories that will last a lifetime.
