Kiteboarding in Turks and Caicos rocks. Period. For beginner to advanced you can’t help but fall in love with the place especially the spot where the Big Blue Collective Kite team teach, Long Bay
Beach.
So why is Kiteboarding in Turks and Caicos so good?
Firstly the wind, the most important ingredient for kiteboarding. The main island of Provincidales has an abundance of super-smooth trade winds. Strong winds can be a bit scary and very light wind can be hard work. The wind in Turks and Caicos is just right averaging around 18-20kts.
Another reason why kiteboarding in Turks and Caicos is so good is the vast amount of shallow water and seemingly endless space. Shallow, flat water makes learning Kiteboarding or progression for more advanced riders literally perfect as when you fall off your board while learning to stand up or when trying a new trick, you can simply stand up, almost anywhere.
At our main teaching and coaching spot of Long Bay Beach, at low tide you can actually walk to the horizon, yes walk to the horizon in the knee-deep, super clear, white sandy-bottomed, turquoise blue water.
The space to ride and learn on our spot at Long Bay Beach is almost unbelievable when you actually see it for yourself. It is quite possibly the safest and most beautiful kite spot on the planet.
Also because there is so much space and so little people compared to other Kiteboarding spots around the world, there is nothing but good vibes from the kiting community. Huge friendly smiles everywhere on Long Bay Beach as everyone is stoked to be kiteboarding in Turks and Caicos.
