Roger is a Boat Captain, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, EFR Instructor, and Paddle Fit Instructor Level 2.
Although originally hailing from Scotland Roger has always had a passion for the water, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing and sailing, at the young age of 13 he was involved in a world record dive in Qatar in the Middle East which lead to a passion for Scuba diving.
At 16 he joined the British Merchant Navy and 11 years later came ashore and continued his shipping career in Port & Ship Management around the world with posts in the UK the South of France, the Caribbean and North Brazil.
Throughout this time Roger followed his passion for travel and water sports as well as house renovation.
In 2005 taking a year sabbatical Roger, with his wife Emma, spent 9 months in Thailand working and gaining their MSDT, forgetting to go back to the ‘real job’ they found themselves running a dive and water sports centre in Oman for 2 years.
Finally the call of the Caribbean led them to the Turks and Caicos Island in 2008, which they now call home.
In the little time left not in, on or under the water Roger volunteers for the TCI Fire & Rescue Service as well as the TCI Reef fund and squeezes in sailing Hobie Cats and renovating their house when there is a spare minute or two.
